چکیده
Recycled powder (RP) is produced as a by-product during the process of recycling construction and demolition (C&D) wastes, presenting low additional value. Using RP-based solidifying material can not only improve its utilization efficiency, but also reduce cost commercial materials. To date, this best utilized to dispose original waterworks sludge (OWS) with high moisture contents (60%), product could be used fabricate non-fired bricks. This has become new environment-friendly technology “using waste treat waste”. In paper, influence different particle sizes dosages RP on prepared was studied. Besides, unconfined compression strength (UCS), volume stability, chemical composition, heat hydration, pore structure were characterized. Then, bricks by using material, recycled aggregate, sludge. The UCS softing coefficient (SC) evaluated. As result, 28-day optimal (M30) 35.40 MPa, which reach 84.37% Portland cement (PC). addition increased stability material. large amount reduced flux cumulative release while porosity increased. brick (NF20) in 28 days 15.19 MPa SC after 78.35%. conclusion, preparation promising approach great potential disposal

The application of waterworks sludge ash to stabilize the volume of cement paste.
In order to extend the recycling of waterworks sludge to engineering applications, this paper addresses the influence of nano-SiO2 on incinerated waterworks sludge ash (IWSA) cement paste attacked by sulfate. Tests were performed such as length measurement for volume change, compressive strength, weight loss, and micro-structural testing using scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results ind...
متن کاملApplication of waterworks sludge in wastewater treatment plants
The potential for reuse of iron-rich sludge from waterworks as a replacement for commercial iron salts in wastewater treatment was investigated using acidic and anaerobic dissolution. The acidic dissolution of waterworks sludge both in sulphuric acid and acidic products such as flue gas washing water and commercial iron solution was successful in dissolving the iron from waterworks sludge. The ...
